Here's a list of questions I get asked frequently:
How do I use the files you sent me?
That depends on the file type. Here's a brief summary of the various file types I might send you:
VIDEO FILES
.VOB:
These are the same files you'd find on a DVD. Basically, if your computer can play DVD's, it can play these files.
.wmv, .avi, .mp4, .mkv:
These are all common files for videos. The only file types that you might have a problem with are the last (.mkv) files. VLC Media Player has no problem with these files.
ARCHIVE FILES
.RAR, .ZIP:
These are compressed folders. To open them, you'll need an un-zipping program. I run a Windows laptop, so I use winRAR. It's incredibly simple to use, and it's free. All you need to do is open the file, press 'Extract to...' and choose the destination. After that, you'll have your video files (see above), which just need to be played.
.001, .002, .003 etc.
These are files that have been 'split'. To un-split, or join, them, you'll need a special program. I use HJSplit, which (again) is incredibly easy to use, and free. First, you need to be sure that you have downloaded all of the files. A normal .VOB show would have between 18 and 25 of them. All of them, except for the last one, will be the same size. Once you've got them all, run HJSplit, and select the first (.001) file. Choose your destination folder, and wait a little. When it's finished, you'll be left with a .RAR file - instructions for that are above!
.part, .z01
Again, these files have been split up, just in a different way. They're archives that have been split up. You'll need to make sure you've downloaded all of them before you can do anything else. The last file will be a different size to all of the other files. Once you've got them all, they can basically be treated like a .RAR or .ZIP file - simply use your extraction program (winRAR for Windows, unrarX for Apple) on the first (.part01.rar or .z01.rar) file, and choose your file destination.

That download isn't working!
I'm sure there's a simple explanation.
Rapidshare
Rapidshare imposes a 1GB/day download limit on all free accounts (that is, I'll only be able to let other people download 1GB of files from my account per day). It's annoying, but it's the price we have to pay for unlimited storage, and the ability to trade bootlegs, I guess. The only way to fix this is to wait until the next day, unfortunately.
If you are able to download a file from my account, please open all of the download links in different pages, and click the 'download' button on all of them as fast as you can. This way, you're able to bypass the 1GB limit. It would also mean that you only use up one day's worth of my quota, meaning someone else can download their show tomorrow.
Mediafire
Mediafire is less strict than Rapidshare in terms of download limits. The only limit (besides the 200MB file size limit) is a 10-download-per-week limit on all .rar, .zip, .part, .001, and .z01 files. This is ridiculously easy to get around though; simply select all of the files, and up the top-left of the page, there'll be a 'save to my files' button (if you've got a mediafire account). If you press this, not only will you have a copy of the show in your account, the 10-download limit will be gone.
Other
If there's another problem, like a missing file, all you need to do is e-mail me, and I'll get around to fixing it as soon as possible. I'd suggest that you check all of the links before you start downloading, since I don't keep a lot of compressed files, and so I'd need to re-upload a whole show if something was missing. It would be a waste of 3.9GB of your download quota if you had to re-download the whole show because the last file was missing.
